The institutional repository ORBi - "Open Repository and Bibliography" - of the Academy Wallonia-Europe has been set up since June 2008. During 2008 summer, the deposit will be restricted to a limited group of authors from ULg to test the system. By the academic opening day, it will be generalized to all authors of the ULg and the FUSAGx. At least, ORBi will collect references to all publications of members of these two universities since 2002 and the full text of all journal articles published by these authors since the same date, respecting the principle of "Immediate deposit/optional access ", access the full text being tabled conditioned by policies set by publishers. Eventually, ORBi will also theses BICTEL/e-ULg and BICTEL/e-FUSAGx.

University of Luxembourg (Uni.Lu) is now admitted as adherent member of the BICfB.

The General board of BICfB will take place on Tuesday April 8, 2008. The meeting will unfold in Brussels at the FNRS.

BICfB now have a partnership with the DART-Europe project. DART-Europe is a partnership of research libraries and library consortia who are working together to improve global access to European research theses.

The project develops DEEP (DART-Europe E-theses Portal), a portal giving access on a European level to electronic theses from the partener institutions.
