The Board of directors appoints among his members a president, a vice-president and a secretary-treasurer for a two years duration, renewable. The Board of directors see to presidency or vice-presidency goes to a complete university. Moreover, it watch over the representation of the three university consortia of the Belgium's French Community: Académie Universitaire Louvain; Académie Universitaire Wallonie-Bruxelles; Académie Universitaire Wallonie-Europe.
From 2000 to 2006, BICfB's presidency was taken by Mr Jean-Pierre Devroey (ULB), vice-presidency by Mr Rene Plisnier (UMH) and secretary-treaserer post by Mrs Nicole Petit (FUSL). These mandates were renewed twice. In agreements with the status of the NPO, it was advisable to renew these posts.
Mr Charles-Henri Nyns (UCL) was elected president of BICfB during the meeting of December 8, 2005. By the meeting of March 2, 2006, the Board of directors proceeded to the election of the vice-president, Mr Bernard Pochet (FUSAGx) and of the secretary-treaserer, Mrs Catherine Masselus (FPMs). These designations has been effective since the General assembly of March 28, 2006.
