Parallel to the common purchases of electronic resources, the university libraries of BICfB have decided to reinforce their collaborations by linking their competences and their resources to guarantee the access to the new acquired resources and to set up new technologies. The members of BICfB consider indeed that the access to the sources of knowledge must rest, beyond the question of the contents, about that of the infrastructures and the services to the user. These projects aim developing new synergies between the data-processing teams of the various institutions, guaranteeing the diffusion of the know-how acquired in the French Community of Belgium and avoiding isolated and incompatible developments.
